The Global Now Project Team is looking for a non-governmental organization to come on board to take ownership of the logistics, development & staffing of The Global Now Project. There are many benefits of taking ownership of The Global Now Project including:

The development of the Global Now Project from a small team of mappers to its full roll out, will require the commitment of an organization to fund the logistics, development & staffing of the project. As a reward for investing financial & human resources into the project, the organisation, or alliance of organisations, will have the information necessary to conduct a global situational analysis in the mental health system, & receive the recognition of achieving such an unprecedented feat.
The service mapping software, and the model of the logistics, web development & staffing of the project, could then be duplicated & utilized beyond the mental health system into other sectors. STUDENTS & ACADEMICS
Considering youth & student movements uprising throughout the world, the involvement of students has been in the forefront of all developments of the Global Now Project. It is hoped that the Global Now Project will become part of the curriculum, placements & field-work at a range of University disciplines. To help make a lasting contribution, the Global Now Project aims to make a difference in a range of academic fields and beyond including psychology, psychiatry, mental health nursing, social work, epidemiology, neuroscience, global mental health & mad studies.
The Global Now Project could bring about a paradigm shift in the way routine academic activities are undertaken. Rather than students being marked against their peers in the traditional essay-based assignments, students could be marked against their peers by the quality of their data entries into The Global Now Project databases.
ACADEMICS & RESEARCHERS
The Global Now Project maps mental health research in line with research themes and questions. It structures data entry tasks into specific quantitative and qualitative study types. The Global Now Project aims to translate research so that it’s results, discussion and conclusions of research studies can lead to meaningful actions in the daily life of mental health consumers as well as in the practices of mental health professionals. The Global Now Project aims to be the research database to end all research databases.
The Global Now Project will not only increase the knowledge and awareness of the mental health sector, but also help standardize research methodologies & provide a centralized location to translate knowledge. By having information in one convenient location, academics & researchers can focus their energy, efforts & financial resources towards creating exponentially greater information & knowledge to make tangible improvements to mental health outcomes throughout the world.
