ACUTE is a center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition at Denver Health. It is the only dedicated medical intensive care unit specifically for patients with extreme forms of eating disorders and severe malnutrition who are severely underweight or who are experiencing urgent medical issues. ACUTE is the world’s only Center of Excellence treating patients with extreme medical complications of eating disorders and severe malnutrition from progressive disease or infection. ACUTE’s private, hospital-based medical telemetry unit at Denver Health Medical Center in Denver, Colorado only treats these complex medical issues in patients with extreme forms of eating disorders and severe malnutrition.

• Treating people of all genders, ages 15 and older (adolescents and adults)
• The only medical unit in the U.S. to earn a prestigious Center of Excellence designation
• Inpatient medical stabilization on a private 30-bed telemetry unit
• Billing the medical health benefit and contracted with most major insurance plans

Metropolitan Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders (CCCED)

The Metropolitan New York Region Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders (CCCED) serves the largest population of patients with eating disorders in New York State. NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC), and the New York State Psychiatric Institute have joined forces to offer an unparalleled, comprehensive range of specialized clinical services at every level of care to patients of all ages from across the southern part of the state. Led by clinical researchers known internationally for their contributions to the field, Metro NYCCCED strives to help individuals with eating disorders and their families heal physically and emotionally. Metro NYCCCED provides an integrated spectrum of specialized clinical services and an opportunity for research participation unlike anything else currently available in New York State. The broad range of available services includes inpatient, day-patient and outpatient treatments. Residential care is also available, with access to specialized staff and programming. The three partner sites comprising the Metro Region CCCED are:
