The Global Now Project Team is looking for a non-governmental organization to come on board to take ownership of the logistics, development and staffing of The Global Now Project. There are many reasons for looking for an established non-government organisation including:

  • To tap into a network of partners that can expand the reach of the project.
  • To have the legal capacity to apply for grants to fund the logistics, day-to-day operations, staffing requirements to populate the website as well as the website development costs of the website.
  • The creation of a corporate structure to be a company limited by guarantee (CLG), create volunteer contractual agreements and protect the Intellectual Property (IP).
  • To take control of the marketing, promotion & advertisement of the project.
  • To take control of staffing of service mappers, editors & auditors to finance the population (i.e. mapping) of the Global Now Project.

    • While extensive personal finances have contributed to the project to date to get the website and service mapping software to where it is today, The Global Now Project team is currently limited in the resources it can contribute to the website and making the project global in scope.

    PROMOTION, MARKETING & ADVERTISEMENT OF THE PROJECT

    The Global Now Project aims to promote, market & advertise the website in a number of ways to increase awareness, create interest & build an extensive network that can expand its reach and influence.

    Not only does the Global Now Project encourage the promotion of the project in individual and organisational networks and websites, but also to have a physical and virtual presence in a range of activities and events.

  • Social Media Network: The Global Now Project aims to create a social media network to provide alerts about updates to the website, provide awareness of blog updates & create interest of events where the Global Now Project has a presence.

     

  • Email Network: The Global Now Projects aims to create an email network so that participants can receive information, updates & alerts about developments of the Global Now Project, blog updates and to encourage individuals and organisations to promote The Global Now Project in their personal and organisational networks.

  • Blog: The Global Now Project team aims to provide content that answers questions participants ask and so that they can learn more about the Global Now Project. The blog aims to give visibility about the project and updates as they occur
  • Consultation & Promotiong: The Global Now Project will provide a 2-way consultation loop through the Whatsapp platform both top down & bottom up.

    In one aspect of the loop, the Whatsapp group is a top-down health promotion network to inform participants about updates associated with the website, as well as information about the mental health system and beyond. The other part of the loop is bottom up that acts as a research pool to consult participants about related issues. The consultation group aims to inform, facilitate targeted discussion and debate, and receive preferences about the website, the mental health system and beyond.

  • Physical & Digital Presence: The Global Now Project aims to have a physical & virtual presence at a range of workshops, forums, online directories, blogs, markets, conferences and more. In particular, The Global Now Project Team aims to use the 22nd International Mental Health Conference at the Gold Coast as a launching pad to pitch the website and service mapping software.
