Neuroscience is IBRO’s flagship journal and is led by an international team of chief editors – Dr. Francesca Cirulli, (Rome, Italy), Dr. Sarah Spencer (Melbourne, Australia) and Dr. Chen Zhang (Beijing, China) – who work together to champion research across the neuroscience field. Neuroscience’s profits support IBRO’s numerous international initiatives for investigators at all career stages and the neuroscience community worldwide.
Founded in 1976, Neuroscience publishes high-quality peer-reviewed articles on fundamental science, meta-analyses, clinical studies, and reviews focused on the scientific study of the central, peripheral, and enteric nervous systems.
As an international, interdisciplinary journal, Neuroscience covers research in molecular, cellular, developmental, systems, behavioural, cognitive and computational neuroscience.
Neuroscience and IBRO are committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the journal. The Editorial Board strongly encourages consideration of diversity in authorship teams and article references. Additionally, the journal requires robust justification for the choice of sex and gender in cellular and animal models, as well as in patient inclusion/exclusion criteria in clinical trials or sample collection.
