The Transcultural Mental Health Centre (TMHC) works with people from culturally and linguistically (CALD) diverse communities, health professionals and partner organisations across NSW to support good mental health. Their programs and initiatives include:
- Working in partnership with individuals with mental illness and those caring for someone with a mental health problem.
- Clinical Consultation Service: free clinical consultation and assessment service providing pathways to care for people of all ages with mental health problems.
- Initiatives to foster good mental health and wellbeing in the community.
- Access to bilingual mental health professionals speaking over 65 languages.
- Development of multilingual resources.
- Service development, planning and evaluation.
- Education and training to assist professionals to work effectively with CALD clients
