The Anorexia Nervosa Genetics Initiative (ANGI) is an initiative that is the largest and most rigorous genetic study of eating disorders ever conducted. ANGI is a global initiative to detect genetic variations that contribute to this potentially life-threatening disease. In total, ANGI collected biological samples and clinical information from 13,363 individuals with anorexia nervosa as well as healthy controls that were matched for ancestry and geography. Karolinska contributed samples from 4247 individuals with anorexia nervosa and 4035 healthy control individuals!. Summary statistics from the Genome-wide association study (GWAS) will be available after publication on the Downloads page of the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium website.
