Institute of Eating Disorders and Mental Health (EDMH) in Inje University is dedicated to find etiology and improved treatment on eating disorders in Korea. EDMH was founded on 2015 as a Korean leading institute for research of eating disorders. Research includes:
- Development of eating disorders prevention and early intervention service to improve mental health of adolescence and youth
- Investigation of diagnostic stability of personality disorders and development of innovative treatments for personality disorders through targeted interventions
- Study of eating disorder and health effects in weight abnormality women
- Ecological Momentary Intervention in Eating Disorders
- Validity of a new classification system of personality disorders, and an investigation of the neurobiological factors in the psychopathology of personality disorder
- Oxytocin system as the mechanism of social emotional dysfunction in eating disorders
- Critical development of schedule for personality assessment from notes and documents (SPAN-DOC) and study of the impact of personality disorders on eating disorders using the SPAN-DOC
- Construction of the research register for eating disorders in Korea and identifying an endophenotype with a discordant sister-pairs
