The Center for Eating Disorders takes care of the scientific review and further development of the diagnosis and therapy of eating disorders and promotes the care of patients with eating disorders through public relations and network maintenance. Depending on the course of the disease and the progress of therapy, patients and their families can receive the therapeutic support that suits their situation.
At the beginning and end of a therapy is often the special outpatient clinic for patients with eating disorders. Depending on the type and course of the eating disorder, inpatient treatment at our special ward for eating disorders may also be necessary. Joint treatment with parents and siblings is possible in the family day clinic for eating disorders. Not infrequently, this is followed by another phase in the special outpatient clinic. Some of the patients go through individual forms of therapy several times. If it turns out that the resources of a family are not enough to support their child sufficiently at home after therapy, a special supervised youth housing community is a promising alternative. However, it is important for all offers that they are based on the same basic principles. Charlotte's Helix Project is an international coalition working to bring DNA genomics project to the UK to discover genetics of anorexia nervosa and other eating disorders. Charlotte's Helix was founded in the UK to honour the eating disorder advocacy work of Charlotte Bevan. The Eating Disorders Research Group at Kings College aims to find out more about the neurobiological, genetic and psychological causes and consequences of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and other eating disorders, and to use that knowledge to develop new and better treatments. Research is closely interwoven with clinical services run by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), which serves a population of two million people in south east London and takes specialist referrals from throughout the UK. SLaM’s eating disorder services for adults include outpatient and day care services at the Maudsley Hospital and an inpatient and rehabilitation unit (Step Up to Recovery service) at the Bethlem Royal Hospital in Kent. Many of the people referred to these services, and their families, participate in the group’s research projects. EDI Slovakia provide prevention, education, and treatment support programs for people with eating disorders and their loved ones. The DGESS is a for non-profit institution that aims towards the promotion, prevention, treatment, and research in the field of eating disorders. The aims of the society are to support a network to help individuals with an eating disorder and their carers; promote prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with an eating disorder; foster research in the area of eating disorders; support the ongoing training and education of persons working with eating disordered patients; advise and counsel public institutions involved in the field of eating disorders; and enhance cooperation between organizations that supports the research, prevention, early detection and treatment of eating disorders in Germany and abroad. The Waterloo-Wellington Eating Disorders Coalition (WWEDC) serves the Waterloo-Wellington community to provide hope to people who are impacted by eating disorders. They engage with stakeholders across the eating disorders continuum, including people who have experienced eating disorders or disordered eating, loved ones of those with eating disorders or in recovery, eating disorder treatment providers, and those interested in learning more about eating disorders. They work to achieve our mission by engaging in advocacy and awareness, engaging with community (both the eating disorder community and the broader community), providing educational opportunities for those who wish to learn more about eating disorders, and working to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals involved in treating eating disorders.

WaterStone Foundation is an organisation with the vision of creating healthy lives free from eating disorders. The WPA Section of Eating Disorders has been in existence for many years and aims to promote international networking in the field of Eating Disorders. The WPA Section for Eating Disorders has almost 200 members from a variety of disciplines, psychiatrists, physicians, pediatricians, dietitians, mental health nurses, family therapists, and researchers.
