The National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center was established in 1999 by the National Institute on Aging/NIH to facilitate collaborative research. Using data collected from NIA-funded Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers (ADRCs) across the United States, NACC has developed and maintains a large relational database of standardized clinical and neuropathological research data. The ADRC program

The National Institute on Aging/NIH currently funds 37 ADRCs across the United States. The Stanford Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) is part of a nationwide network of congressionally mandated Centers of Excellence supported by the National Institutes of Health. The Centers of Excellence programs help establish critical research infrastructure; foster collaboration; train researchers, physician scientists, and other professional staff; and provide shared resources through core facilities.

The Arizona Alzheimer’s Consortium (AAC) is the nation’s leading model of statewide collaboration in Alzheimer’s disease research. The NIA Genetics of Alzheimer’s Disease Data Storage Site (NIAGADS) provides genetic data to any qualified researcher. NIAGADS is the National Institute on Aging Genetics of Alzheimer's Disease Data Storage Site. Supported by a U24 cooperative agreement between NIA and the University of Pennsylvania, NIAGADS is a national genetics repository to facilitate access by qualified investigators to genotypic data for the study of genetics of late-onset Alzheimer's disease. The goal of the ADGC is to identify genetic variants associated with risk for AD. It has long been known that genetic factors play an important role in the development of Alzheimer's Disease. 

1. Explore: the Genomic Database provides a genome browser that allows comparison of AD GWAS summary statistics tracks to sequence variation and transcriptional regulation. Search for your favorite gene or variant to explore its genomic context and then switch to a full browser view to add additional tracks.
2. Analyze: Search strategies make it easy to ask sophisticated questions about your data. Find variants associated with alzheimer's disease datasets or explore all available searches. Upload a gene list and take advantage of our functional and pathway enrichment tool to gain new insight into an existing dataset. Browse our example search strategies for some ideas.
3. Share: Download your result for further analysis. Registered users can share strategy and analysis results with the community or generate a static link for a publication. Bookmark your favorite genes and variants and save and annotate strategies to create a personalized workspace.

NIAGADS ensures that genotypic data for the study of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) is harmonized and shared with the research community at large. The Alzheimer’s Disease Cooperative Study (ADCS) was formed in 1991 as a cooperative agreement between the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the University of California, San Diego. The Dementia Australia Research Foundation (previously known as the Alzheimer's Australia Dementia Research Foundation) is the research arm of Dementia Australia.
